Exclusive streaming première on Data Transmission
We’re proud to announce after their previous releases Break Away Kicks! and Woo Chicks & Disco Wobblez ep, Deadlock the new single from Finnish producers TJH87, out July 2nd 2013.
TJH87 are made up of Timo Juuti and Hector 87. The pair met over a shared love of raiding their local library for old disco records to play and cut up to inspire their early productions. The result of which is the making of their very own blend of disco house and pop savvy electro. These first few releases quickly found their way onto Hed Kandi and Ministry Of Sound compilations with BBC Radio 1 support from Fearne Cotton and DJ Chuckie. Making tunes specifically for packed out, sweaty dance floors their high energy disco house tracks also gained support from Armand Van Helden, Sister Bliss (Faithless), Robbie Rivera, Phonat and many more.
In November 2012, TJH87 released their latest EP, ‘Break Away Kicks!’ which was described as “Daft Punk on crack” by Crack Magazine and received rave reviews in both DJ Mag and Mixmag. On its release, ‘Break Away Kicks!’ shot to #1 on the Finnish iTunes dance chart while also entering Beatport’s top 100 Indie Dance / Nu Disco chart.
Their latest offering, ‘Deadlock’, is the perfect progression of their catchy sound, already supported by big mates like Steve Aoki, Joachim Garraud, Maor Levi, Taku Takahashi and Jerry Bouthier. Opening with 70’s styled organ chords and upfront vocals, the intro quickly builds to a tasteful yet energetic drop that sees people running from the bar to the speakers every time. First remix support comes from rising star Robotaki with his signature compressed, rhythmic basslines and French leaning filtering which has been gaining him hundreds of thousands of soundcloud plays. Electro mainstay, Rico Tubbs (Trouble & Bass / Cheap Thrills), turned out an 808 lead weapon that completely cuts up and twists the vocals out of all recognition withRoisto serving up a solid slice off electro funk to complete the expansive remix package.
